Going to be absent for a little while as my throttle controller has decided to break a few wires. The X55 is totally defunct until I can convince Saitek to send me two new looms, or I can make new ones  |

Now the PC power supply has given up the ghost on the video editing/gaming computer as well ... I swore I would never EVER but another bloody PC I would move totally onto Mac's. Well because Horizons is not on the Mac it looks like I have to go back on that statement and construct another fecking PC
I really REALLY hate computers sometimes |

Replacement throttle not available until May according to Saitek and the wiring is so bloody small that a repair is very hard. My hands are far too unsteady so have delegated it to a younger pair. I hope he will do it this weekend but we shall see |

Ok as I am getting zero assistance about getting the joystick replaced I am attempting to repair it myself. The soldering is fiddly and requires perfect eyesight and very steady hands ... neither of which I now possess. However with a lot of luck, and a few days off the booze I should be back on in a day two.
